Day Sailer Round Robin - On Saturday September 29th the Day Sailer Fleet 79 held their annual Round Robin in moderate north winds on Lake Massapoag. Bob Gaffney took first place and continued to hold on to the trophy resurrected last year. In second place was Bernadette Levesque with her husband Peter crewing for her. In third place was Rob Mouradian. Looking forward to having more Day Sailers out for this interesting regatta next year where you get to race in each of your competitor's boat as well as your own. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

On 9/3/2012 we held the Women Skippers Regatta with 4 boats and the Single Handed Regatta with 13 boats. The wind was light but the spirits were not. The Women's winner was Laura Sharp and the SIngle Handed winner was Dave Rousseau. Click here to see results.

- 25 different participants
- 1005 starts
- 3 people had over 100 starts this season!

 2012 N.E. DISTRICTS
Massapoag Yacht Club and Quannapowitt Yacht Club co-hosted the 2012 Flying Scot New England District Regatta on 8/18/2012 at Lake Massapoag in Sharon. We were lucky to have 14 boats brave the stormy weather to participate in the event. Read more here and see results here. Thanks for all who participated.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA - Another family fun day at MYC celebrating the birth of this great country starting with the Larry Lawrence Memorial Pancake Breakfast, served up by our own Dennis Dubuc and Rick and Nina Hamilton. Ron Alman led us on a parade of sail with our boats decked out in red-white-and-blue, followed by lots of water fights and a game where we picked up numbered balls from the water using anything on board - fishnets, hats, buckets. Back on shore, Leila and Jackie McNeff had a fun Bingo game waiting for us, using, you probably guessed it, the numbers from the balls we picked up. Everybody was a winner of fun prizes, the best of which was ice cream for everybody.

Laser Fleet Team Racing - The Laser Fleet held Team Races on 6/30/2012 with 12 boats - 4 teams of 3 each. They raced a whopping 18 races then finished up with a regular Laser fleet race. Thanks to Ryan Werden, Bob Gaffney and Dan Abram for their Race management and to Annie Pennington for her help including providing the trophies.
