Massapoag Yacht Club was founded on the shores of Lake Massapoag in 1946. MYC is an all-volunteer organization that has become a landmark for yacht racing in Massachusetts, as well as the Northeastern region of the US. Whether you are brand new to sailing or have extensive experience, MYC offers organized competition for all ages. We have hosted national sailing competitions as well as local and regional regattas. 2025 Fireworks at MYC

Were you at MYC for the 2025 fireworks? About 50 of us were able to finish our cookout, with sides and dessert are red by Tid Kampf and Jim McDonald, before the rain came. Then, when it seemed like the rain would end up stopping the display, right around 9PM, the rain subsided and we headed to the beach to watch. The show was so lovely over the water. Jared Seaquist will lead us on a parade of sail on July 4, 2025, at about 1PM. Come to the club, deck your boat out in Red, White and Blue and sail aroung the lake to show our country's colors!

2025 Day Sailer Regional WInner

The 2025 Day Sailer Regionals were held at Quannapowitt Yacht Club in Wakefield MA on 6/21/2025. Our Day Sailer Fleet Captain, Sterling Worrell, was the woinner of the event. Way to go Sterling!

8 Bells Former Commodore Larry Klane

Former MYC Commodore Larry Klane passed away recently. His wife Bonnie held a celebration of his life with these sailboat centerpieces and some MYC memorabilia. She donated 6 of them to the club for our use at events. Thanks, Bonnie. RIP, Larry.

Cocktails, Mocktails and Smores on the Beach

Start Time: 7:00 PM

All ages welcome! We will supply some snacks, smores makings, and water bottles. Please bring your drink(s), beach chairs, and a musical instrument if you wish to provide live music. This will be a low key evening around the firepit and a chance to catch up with old friends and hopefully makes some new ones. Please email [email protected] to RSVP so that we have enough supplies.

MYC Annual Junior Regatta

Start Time: 10:00 AM

Setup starts at 9:00 AM. Race Committee should be there at 8:30.

MYC welcomes kids ages 10-17 to our Annual Junior Regatta. There will be awards for the top 5 skippers, with the perpetual trophy going home for a year with the top skipper. We'll have a cookout after racing. Come on down and join the fun!
