Powerboating Courses at MYC  - June 13-14, 2026, 9 am start

Race support people and sailing instructors routinely operate safety and support boats in close quarters around other boats, and at times, near people in the water. The precision boat handling skills required in this activity is far greater than that found among average powerboat operators. For more than fifteen years MYC has tried to fulfill this need by offering a mainly on the water course. This year we will offer a two day course – Safe Powerboat Handling + Safety and Rescue Boating Handling on Saturday from 9:00 until 5:00 and Sunday from 9:00 until late afternoon. You must attend both sessions in order to receive a certificate.  Register with Bob Gaffney at [email protected]    Registration must be received by May 31 so that the necessary materials may be ordered. Cost for materials is $125.
