A class has been set up for September 26-27, 2020
Race support people routinely operate safety and support boats in close quarters around other boats, and at times, near people in the water. The precision boat handling skill required in this activity is far greater than that found among average powerboat operators. For more than ten years MYC has tried to fulfill this need by offering a mainly on the water course. This year we will offer a two day course –U S Sailing Accelerated Safe Powerboat Handling + Safety and Rescue Boating Handling on Saturday Saturday, June 13 at 9:00 AM and Sunday, June 14 at 9:00 AM. You must attend both sessions in order to receive a certificate as the first Saturday is a prerequisite for the next Saturday. A classroom or online boating course is suggested to prepare for the written exam. Register with Bob Gaffney at 781-258-2488 or e-mail him at firstname.lastname@example.org Registration must be received by June 1 so that the necessary materials may be ordered. Cost for materials is $ 65.
