Register now for MYC's Powerboating Course and Adult Learn to Sail Programs.  They fill up quickly!

Powerboating Course:  two-day course June 14-15, 2025 - This year MYC will offer a two-day course U.S. Sailing Safe Powerboat Handling on Saturday June 14 from 9:00 - 5:00 and Sunday June 15 from 9:00 until late afternoon. You must attend both sessions in order to receive a certificate. Registration must be made by May 31 so that the necessary materials may be ordered. The cost for materials and instruction is $125. Race support people and sailing instructors routinely operate safety and support boats in close quarters around other boats, and at times, near people in the water. The precision boat handling skills required in this activity are far greater than those found among average powerboat operators. Adult Learn to Sail or Sail Better: June 16-July 1, Sesstion 2: July 7-22, 2025

Learn to Sail or Sail Better Session 1 - Monday and Tuesday evenings for six classes 6:00 p.m. to sunset - June 16, 17, 23, 24, 30, July 1, 2025

Learn to Sail or Sail Better Session 2 - Monday and Tuesday evenings for six classes 6:00 p.m. to sunset - July 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22

Instruction is given by a Certified U S Sailing Instructor. After cancelling week 1 of racing due to wind gusts of 30 MPH, racing began this week. With 5 racers out on a cloudy day with shifty, gusty winds, Harvey Davidson and crew did a great job getting in 3 races and got us back to the dock by 4:00. Next up, Wednesday night racing begins.

The MYC 2025 Spring Work Party Day 2 was another success! Docks, decks, steps and gate got sealed, some painting and staining got done, lots more raking and leaf removal got done, and lots of other projects got started. There are a few projects left to finish up, but the club looks just great!

We will have a Spring Work Party makeup on Sunday 4/27/2025 starting at 10AM. Docks and moorings are mostly done so we will be doing cleanup, painting, staining. Hope to see lots of you there that could not come last week.Light refreshments will be served.
