MYC 2021 Commodore's Banquet Was Loads of Fun

Diane Kampf (admin) 0 1067

The MYC Commodore's banquet on November 13, 2021, was a great time, honoring our Commodore, Jeff Sprung. We gave out the skipper and crew awards based on who won the various racing series during the sailing season.  The Commodore presented awards to each of the Board Members and the Club presented some nice gifts to the Commodore. We awarded certificates to those who had chaired the various committees and events for the year. And we gave out the special awards to those individuals who had earned them. You can look here to see who got the Certificates of Appreciation and who won the perpetual awards, including the Dubious Distinction award, a.k.a. "The Hatrack". You can look here to view some pictures from the event taken by Diane Kampf, Greg Kampf, and Emily Szczypek.  If you were there, you know how much fun it was, and if you were not there, well, you missed a good time. Hope you can come to next year's event!

Moonlight Sail - no wind but lots of fun

From Dan Abram:

We had a beautiful night but there was no wind. There was a great view of the
full moon from the dock. Some lightning was spotted around 830. Kayaking turned out to be a brilliant idea.

Since we didn’t light up the boats we decided to light up the kayaks, picnic table and each other.
