Powerboating Course: two-day course June 14-15, 2025 - This year MYC will offer a two-day course U.S. Sailing Safe Powerboat Handling on Saturday June 14 from 9:00 - 5:00 and Sunday June 15 from 9:00 until late afternoon. You must attend both sessions in order to receive a certificate. Registration must be made by May 31 so that the necessary materials may be ordered. The cost for materials and instruction is $125. Race support people and sailing instructors routinely operate safety and support boats in close quarters around other boats, and at times, near people in the water. The precision boat handling skills required in this activity are far greater than those found among average powerboat operators. Learn to Sail or Sail Better Session 2 - Monday and Tuesday evenings for six classes 6:00 p.m. to sunset - July 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22
Instruction is given by a Certified U S Sailing Instructor. You must be able to pass a swim test or verify swimming ability.
