2022 Commodore's Banquet

Diane Kampf (admin) 0 1036

At our Commodore's Banquet, we honored Commodore Chris Stow. Chris dedicated the evening to our first woman Commodore Carole Isgur, who passed away this week after an illness. Bob Gaffney, a fellow Day Sailer skipper, said some nice words about Carole before we had our dinner. Ann Marie Rosa and Sally Tortorella ran the famous reverse raffle, where the big winners were John Eckart, Dennis Dubuc and Edith Benisty. Evan Locke and I awarded certificates of appreciation to the many chairpersons who took care of club business, the Board of Directors and of course, the Commodore. We finished up the evening with special achievement awards and racing awards. It was a very nice evening with great food and great friends! See photos here.

MYC 73rd Annual Regatta is in the Books!

Diane Kampf (admin) 0 798

We had 25 Sunfish, 4 Day Sailers, 10 RS Aeros and 12 Lasers registred for the MYC 73rd Annual Regatta. The weather was beautiful, sunny and 80 degrees, but the wind, well, it just stayed home most of the weekend. Roger Sharp and the Race Committee did what they could to run some races for the eager competitors who appreciated whatever they could get. The Food was great, the camaraderie was wonderful. There were so many MYC volunteers and it warms the heart to see how hard we work to put on a great event. Thanks so much to everyone who participated and worked to make it a fun weekend!
