Over 10" of rain has fallen at the lake over the last few days. Boats are swamped, capsized and beached. Please check ion your boats after and make sure they are safely secured and the water is emptied out. Hopefully there is little damage to the boats. The club itself had a few branches down but otherwise not too bad.

There is sad news to share with the MYC Community. Former member and Past Commodore Morey Waltuck has passed away. Morey was active for many years, sailing and racing with his family and friends. He served on the Board for several years in the Commodore rotation and othere Board positions. He will be missed by so many of us who knew him and were lucky enough to spend time with him. His memorial is Tuesday, 9/22/2026 - details are attached heere.

MYC held its 77th Annual Regatta with Small Boats on 9/4-9/6/2026. There were 18 Sunfish and 7 MC Scows participating. Friday was the welcome party with the Bravermans serving up grilled food and fixings for the rest of us. After Diane Kampf and crew served up breakfast on Saturday, Mother Nature brought us shifty winds around 15 MPH from the North/Northeast and places changed again and again after each of the 7 races. PRO Greg Kampf and crew did a great job responding to the wind shifts and getting races going quickly and keeping the fleets separated. Saturday night was our famous Lobster, Steak, Chicken and Pasta Primavera with salad and sides, and our ice cream sundae bar after dinner. Sunday brought a little lighter wind but 3 races were completed before the racers came in for lunch and awards. The Sunfish winner was Amanda Callahan and the MC Scow winner was John Eckart.
