As we have learned, Massachusetts law requires that anyone operating a motorboat or personal watercraft in Massachusetts must have a boater safety certificate. Individuals born after January 1, 1989, must obtain their certificate by April 1, 2026, while those born on or before that date have until April 1, 2028. You can get your certificate at in person or online classes and classes are listed on the MA Environmental Police Website here

May 1 is the official day that boats are supposed to be moved from winter storage spots to their assigned spots for the sailing season. We have extended that to May 15, 2026. The assignment charts are posted on the website under Members/Boat Storage. You need to log in to the website to see the charts. The mooring chart is still in process but names are on the moorings so most likely in the same spot as last year. Please let us know if a speial circumstance prevents you from moving your boat. Thank you/

Due to forecast wind gusts, there is NO RACING TONIGHT, Wednesday, 5/6/2026........

Laura and Skip Russell hosted a fine Open House for our prospective members on 5/3/2026. Despite the weather, with some rain and high winds, there was a good turnout. We hope to gain a few new members from this event - one Junior member joined! Several MYC members were there to greet and speak to our guests. And everyone got their fill from the yummy barbecue that Laura and Skip put on.  All in all, a good day for MYC.

Yippee - The Club is open for the season. The docks are in and some moorings are in. Please check the boat storage charts and get your boats moved to their seasonal spots as soon as possible. The deadline is 5/15/2026 to get your boat moved. Happy sailing!
